Often times when you hear the word “Angel” what comes to mind is a “heavenly celestial being with large wings and a sword of blazing fire”. Well this post isn’t meant for them as they aren’t exactly on social media. That then begs the question, who are God’s Angels? A report by WHO-China as at February 28 showed that the death rate of people that contact the COVID-19 from ages 20-49 years is 0.2-0.4% in all cases. But from 50-80 years it is a whooping 1.3-14.8%. This means the elderly are more vulnerable at this critical time. In Nigeria alone only 2.7% of the population is 65years up. That means a large part of that population are active, and have youthful energy. Take this time out to help an elderly person with groceries, toiletries, simple acts of kindness like helping them cross the road born out of love. They are on our streets, in how churches and mosques. Volunteer to help them in case they are in need of emergencies. The emphasis are on them at this time because COVID-19 makes them more vulnerable than any other age group but even after the pandemic. do it because it is noble. Other people that are in dare need of God Angel’s are people that have a disability or the other and cant bustle in the market place like you would. Stretch that extra hand of care at this time to them as well. And do this not in order to get a reward or be seen as “good”. Do this because it is your sacred duty as a steward. Because you are a foot soldier, a servant, God’s angel on earth! Don’t blink, I folded it!
